Using the glove to introduce vocabulary in various ways.

Developing a student’s vocabulary at an early age is essential to their learning. What better way to introduce new vocabulary than using the mamaestra glove instead of translating or making long lists of words. There are many ways to introduce new vocabulary.

We recommend you place each word within the finger of your glove, then point using the toybook small elements.  Pointing has the advantage of introducing words in blocks, and you can introduce several words in a single lesson with ease. Great for visual learners.

The glove is also recommended for naming and miming. Kinesthetic learners, i.e., those who learn best by moving their bodies, will benefit greatly from this technique. Exaggerating emotions and facial expressions work best with children, according to our experience.
