This book is intended to assist Mamaestra in raising a bilingual child. There are many examples of onomatopoeia in this mini book. When a written word mimics the sound of an object, animal, action, or reaction, it is known as an onomatopoeia. This book features onomatopoeias about some pets, wild animals, Spanish vowel sounds, sounds of means of transportation, and sounds about feelings. The purpose of this strategy is to encourage early reading/time sharing and humor with onomatopoeias. It can be used to facilitate small conversations like:

Mamaestra: ¿Cómo hace la vaca?

Child: “muuu” ( if the child is older we can expect completa answers: La vaca hace “muuu”).

Additionally, this book helps increase vocabulary. 40 easy words are illustrated with sweet images.
