Cecilia Guerrero
The story behind the story

It all started with a game

Cecilia Guerrero began this bilingual challenge as an au pair for two families. She also supported students with young children at home to start this journey on their own.

She has taught Spanish for 20 years and owns the Middle of the World Spanish School. Mamaestra is the program she created to help parents and teachers support their children's bilingualism, combining original materials, real family experiences and years of supporting Bay Area families.

A linguistics specialist and author, Cecilia loves teaching with the Mamaestra ToyBook to make lessons real and fun. Parents learn Spanish together with their little ones, and teachers use the ToyBook in hands-on lessons.

Why Retobilinguismo

Every book touches more lives

Our toybooks are handmade by Ecuadorian women. Through this project we want to fund social projects that improve the well-being of women and sponsor more handmade educational products.

Building bridges. Touching lives. That is what Retobilinguismo means to us.
