About This Course

Spanish Language Early Stimulation (For parents of babies from 0 mo to ~12 mo)

Welcome to our Mamaestra Club

Babies learn through listening, sweet talks, and time sharing. Babies are often called ‘pre-verbal’ before they speak their first words. During this pre-language stage, children develop language skills through interaction with their parents and other caregivers, as well as by playing with toys and other objects around them.

During this course, Mamaestra 1, we want to provide moms with enough language to interact with their infants and create connections between moms and babies. Language experience, however, is more important during infancy than at any other time. For our Mamaestra & Maestramama class for parents with babies 0 – 1-year-old, we will be teaching lullabies and vocabulary for small talks in everyday activities in Spanish tailored specifically for the first year…

THE MATERIAL FOR THIS BABY LABEL WILL BE:

  • Mamaestra Lullabies.
  • Mamaestra Pocketbook.
  • Mamaestra Onomatopoeias.
  • Mamaestra 10 mini First Books.
  • Contact us for more information.

What will the class be like?

There will be two 30-minute sessions per week. There will be an online session to go over Mamaestra material for you to use at home.  It is not necessary to be with the baby. You will meet with other moms in a second meeting, which will be led by an active teacher to have fun. (We will meet with other moms at the Golden Gate Park (Panhandle Area) on weekends if you are in San Francisco).

Combined with Circle Time, this is an ongoing Interactive Virtual Spanish Course.  Due to the fact that this is a Pilot Program, we only have this schedule available for North America and Europe.

SCHEDULES:

  • 🦋Europe -Monday 9:00 am Online
  • 🦋North America – Monday 7:00 pm
  • 🦋Friday – Party Circle Time (When there are 10 participants)

Some FAQ about the course ✨

🌼 Q: How experienced should mom be to take these classes?

Our classes are for any level, newbie to native. We offer classes for any experience level, but without any language experience are VERY welcome.

🌸 Q: Is a child required to stay with mom during class?

The lessons in these classes are mostly designed for moms, but you can take them if you’d like. Please participate actively as a Mamaestra. You can have the baby in the same room with you if you are the only caregiver of the baby. But for circle time class, the child needs to be with their mother.

🌻 Q: Does the class involve interaction with the moms or are they just watching?

A: These classes are not passive screen time. Besides singing, repeating and actively participating, moms will also be playing and doing. For example, in our play classes, moms sing the song so you learn it in class before applying it. As well as asking questions, sharing with other moms your experiences. You can also participate in the discussions or you can join at the Whatsapp group or Fabebook Group.

🌻 Q: How long in the ONLINE class?

Each online class last 30 minutes and the circle time 30 to 40 minutes.

Lesson 2: Changing Diapers and Clothes

Lesson 3: Taking a shower and peeing in the bathroom

It can be challenging to learn how to bathe your new baby in Spanish and it might take some practice to get it right. However, don't worry, you'll have your cheating cards and plenty of opportunities to develop these skills.A 30-minute class will teach you the vocabulary you need and the pronunciation of the song you will use at home.I look forward to seeing you in class!

Lesson 4: Receiving or visiting close relatives

Probably one of your favorite things to do is spend time with your grandmother, aunty or uncle. Spending time with your young children, whether it's teaching them something or going on an excursion with them, is a valuable experience. Now we want to challenge you to do micro-talking in Spanish. It is unfortunate that spending time can be short when living a distance away, but let it be memorable.A 30-minute class will teach you the vocabulary you need and the pronunciation of the song you will use at home.I look forward to seeing you in class!

Lesson 5: Sharing time with mom and dad

When you have a new child, you're bound to feel more joy and more stress than any other time in your life. A new challenge like Spanish may lead you to fail in your goal if you are doing it alone. But to be your best as a mamaestra de Español, you have to share this role sometimes.A 30-minute class will teach you the vocabulary you need and the pronunciation of the song you will use at home.I look forward to seeing you in class!

Lesson 6: Toys

Play is an important part of the child's development, and it is also a fun way to learn Spanish; therefore, as a mom, we recommend showing her a few toys and explaining some of them in Spanish. A tip is to make sure the toys are not too noisy, but they should be musical toys.

Lesson 7: Milk bottle and Kitchen time

Make the most of this opportunity to tell your baby in Spanish what you are doing while you are cooking. Interact with your baby in short moments and describe as many activities as you are doing so that he or she focuses on listening to you. Learning a language depends on the processing of sounds. In order to get the most visual contact with the baby, you should use a stroller or a baby chair while doing the activities. Do not let the baby be exposed to danger while doing duties.

Lesson 8: Play day

Brains are constructed on a solid foundation and basis as if they were buildings. Exposing the baby to new sounds in Spanish will help build this foundation. It is a good idea to meet other babies from Spanish-speaking families at a play day. Early language stimulation is best done at the playground and play day, when many words are being spoken.

Lesson 9: Moving around with the stroller

Getting ready to go outside to the street and greater the stroller should become a regular routine. Talk to your baby about what you will do together. Describe some of the things your child is doing and some of the objects they are holding.

Lesson 10: Napping time

It's time for a nap. It will help your baby to sleep better if you do this: When putting your baby to bed, ensure that she is comfortable, touch her back lightly, and use Spanish body vocabulary and sing the mamaestra lullaby softly. Describe what you are going to do to the baby: Let's go to the crib so that you can nap!In a 30-minute class, we will learn songs, vocabulary, and phrases about how to use the Spanish language with your baby. It will be easy for you to pronounce and to use the materials. I look forward to seeing you in class!

Lesson 11: Getting a gift

Receiving a gift for the baby is an excellent opportunity to build empathy with the giver. Let him know how nice it is to receive a gesture and to be grateful: ¡Di, gracias! Let your baby know what is happening by speaking slowly in Spanish:

Lesson 12: Talking to mom

As soon as your baby makes eye contact with you, he will begin to make sounds and babble in response to what you say, establish a conversation as if you understand everything what the baby says, and thus ask for what he wants, keep the conversation rolling. In a 30-minute class, we will learn songs, vocabulary, and phrases about how to use the Spanish language with your baby. It will be easy for you to pronounce and to use the materials. I look forward to seeing you in class!

Lesson 13: The baby is crying

Initially, babies communicate by crying. Whenever the baby cries, rub his or her back and chest in this course you will learn how to speak to your crying baby. We will provide you a list of expression in Spanish during this 30 minutes class. I look forward to seeing you in class!

Lesson 14: Eat a regular meal

Dear Mamaestra,

Thank you for being here. Gracias por estar aquí.  I am Cecilia. Soy Cecilia. I have been teaching Spanish for more than 20 years. He venido enseñando idiomas por 20 años. TheMamaestra's proposal is to teach parents the language so they can teach it to their kids from an early age. We divided the program in three levels. El programa está dividido en tres niveles:

  • Mamaestra Preschooler

Our approach goes in small steps with sounds, sweet words, small commands, small talks, songs, lullabies, art and body movements like dancing, exercising and playing. Nuestro enfoque va en pequeños pasos con sonidos, palabras dulces, pequeños comandos, pequeñas charlas, canciones, canciones de cuna, arte y movimientos corporales como bailar, hacer ejercicio y jugar.

Importantly, we request that children be exposed to the language daily. For this reason we have a collection of Products to Mamaestras I,II,III.  Es importante destacar que solicitamos que los niños estén expuestos al idioma diariamente.
