Mamaestra Methodology
Create a familiar routine where Spanish grows through play, repetition, and loving interaction.
1. A Special Space:
Choose a comfortable corner where you can connect, play, and explore together.
2. A Special Time:
Set aside a few minutes each day. A familiar routine gives your child repeated opportunities to listen and understand.
3. Special Materials:
Use Mamaestra songs, books, puppets, and activities. Show, sing, and repeat to make words meaningful.
4. A Special Person You:
Learn with our guidance, then model Spanish for your child. Wait, observe, and respond to their gestures, sounds, or words. Offer help, then gradually let them try independently.
How does the Mamaestra de Español Program work?
Inspired by language development theories, Mamaestra combines imitation, repetition, exploration, and guided social interaction. Through songs, games, and expressive speech, caregivers help children connect sounds with meaning and gradually build words and phrases.

Principles that guide us
WITH REPETITION: Practice, practice to master. Small moments, daily practice. Repeat useful Spanish words and phrases during familiar routines, such as meals, playtime, and bedtime.

How It Works
The Mamaestra de Español (Spanish Momteacher) is a combination of three books, with a complementary toybook and different sets of flashcards for kids. They feature lessons and engaging activities to help students learn common phrases, common daily questions and more. Moms also learn how to ask questions and make small dialogues.
Working Together
Cecilia Guerrero, a linguistics specialist and Spanish teacher as well as the the author of the mamaestra program, loves teaching Spanish and using the Toybook to make lessons real and fun. Parents learn the language together with their Little Love, and teachers love incorporating the mamaestra toybook into hands-on Spanish lessons.
